What Is DPC?

This is healthcare like you've never experienced it. It's like having a provider in the family.

Put simply: your DPC provider is there when you need them.

Your Health Journey Starts Here Discover Direct Primary Care

Are you tired of co-pays, insane wait times and 8 minute doctor visits?

How does zero copays, convenient scheduling options, near wholesale prices on medications and blood testing and having direct access to your provider sound?

So how is this possible? Easy: direct primary care practices cut out middlemen like insurance companies, freeing themselves to provide great care at fair prices. Unlike traditional third party practices that serve the needs of insurance companies, direct primary care is for everybody; most DPC memberships cost less than your monthly cell phone or cable bill, for great care whenever you need it.

As of 2025, over 1.2 million people are a part of Direct Primary Care (DPC).

It's a growing national model.

As a DPC patient, you forge a relationship with a provider that knows you. No more scheduling months in advance; your DPC provider is at your fingertips. If you need an in-person visit, you can usually book one within a few days. Your provider will stay on top of your health: running preventative tests, diagnosing you when you're sick, prescribing medicines (and often dispensing them to you directly at wholesale prices — no extra trip to the pharmacy!), negotiating low prices on blood tests and scans, quickly addressing any health concerns or questions you have, and—if necessary—coordinating your care with specialists and hospitals.

How is this possible? By cutting insurance out of the picture. Insurance is fundamentally incompatible with providing comprehensive, compassionate care. When a provider bills your insurance, they are forced to submit an itemized list of each and every medical service they provided. If they don't, they won't get paid.

In DPC, you pay a flat monthly membership fee, usually around the size of your cell phone bill. You can pay with your credit card—no more clipboards with pages of insurance paperwork.
